optovision may be new to UK opticians but in its native Germany it enjoys a rich optical heritage. Optician discovers more about the company's plans for the UK

It may surprise some to learn that optovision has in fact been in the UK since 2004, but its presence, says UK national sales manager Bruce Richardson, has been very much a soft launch. Richardson himself is not a man many would associate with lenses. However, he does have a sound knowledge of the market and an understanding of what independent opticians and small groups want. 'I am not a lens man, but I understand the market and that is why optovision got me involved - to help take the business to the next level,' he says.
