Dressed in a suit and groomed to perfection, Lawson blends well with the company's pristine Oxford Street store, where practice staff are extremely welcoming. It is tempting to think this is because the big cheese is wandering around, but working at a huge flagship like this must be fairly uplifting regardless.
Upstairs in the open-plan waiting area for eye tests, there is a modern tea and coffee machine for patients, shiny white walls and deep black leather seats. But is this modern feel to attract a higher end consumer?
