Preslux

The Preslux multifocal lens gives centre distance and a progressive add that provides both near, distance and intermediate vision, ideal for computer work and reading. Viewing zones can be adjusted according to pupil size to facilitate sharper vision. It can also be manufactured in reverse, so the addition is in the centre if preferred. The aspheric design is said to provide extra comfort for the patient and Preslux is available in a wide range of gas permeable materials. The Preslux lens is offered on a 28-day trial package for new patients with an exchange facility incorporated.

Onefit MED Multifocal

The Onefit MED Multifocal is a simultaneous vision, near-centred, aspheric design. The system combines a distance lens profile for the dominant eye and a near lens profile for the non-dominant eye. As a variant of the standard Onefit MED miniscleral, it can be fitted using a standard 20-lens fitting set. No 7 Contact Lenses says the lens combines superior centration and limited movement due to blinking with a rigid hyper DK material that promotes corneal health and does not
dehydrate.

Safilens

According to Safilens, Fusion Presbyo 1-day is the only disposable contact lens with the company’s patented afocal design for reducing the effects of presbyopia. This innovative lens design is said to give an exceptional extended depth of field to the wearer leading to clear images at all distances. Additionally the lens benefits from a smooth surface, natural, quick and constant stabilisation, and Safilens’ fusion technology. This technology involves the synergistic actions of hyaluronic acid and tamarind seed polysaccharide normalising and keeping the physiological relation between the tear film and ocular surface stable, and aims to give wearers more natural, longer-lasting comfort.

VTI

NaturalVue 1-Day Multifocal

NaturalVue 1-Day Multifocal from VTI is available from Positive Impact. CE approved for both presbyopia and myopia control, the lens uses patented centre-distance optics and, inspired by advanced camera optics, the design allows for an extended depth of focus (EDOF). The NaturalVue design utilises a smooth, rapidly increasing, highly aspheric power curve that causes blur in the peripheral retina creating a virtual aperture. This creates an EDOF where distance, intermediate, and near vision are all in focus at once. NaturalVue can be more simply considered as a single-vision lens and is fitted as such, resulting in high first-fit success.

Power range: +4.00D to -12.25D (0.25D steps)

Add power: One universal EDOF design effective up to +3.00D

Material: Etafilcon A (58% water content)
