Myopia experts collaborate on the largest UK/Ireland Delphi study

Associate professors Annegret Dahlmann-Noor and Neema Ghorbani Mojarrad tell Manbir Nagra about a new study involving collaboration between UK and Ireland based myopia experts

Myopia management is a quickly evolving field of optometric patient management, with the development of several different myopia management intervention types over the last few years, both pharmacological and optical. With these advances in mind, eye care practitioners want to understand what we know and don’t know about myopia and myopia management, and what we should be doing to ensure the best care for our patients in this new area of paediatric eye care within the UK.

 

MN: What was the aim of your study? 

NGM & ADN: Because of the fast-paced changes in the field, we wanted to gather the thoughts and opinions of a range of expert clinicians and researchers in the field to help understand the current areas of agreement and disagreement within myopia management.
