After running a successful workshop series for practitioners throughout 2006, CIBA Vision is turning its attention to growing the contact lens market. Independent practices were the focus of much of CIBA Vision's work this year. The contact lens manufacturer was on a mission to spread the word about professional fee-based pricing systems and how they could boost the profitability of practices.

Stuart NeilsonHowever, 2007 will see a slight change in focus for CIBA Vision. While still working closely with practices, the company plans to invest an unprecedented amount of time and resources into growing the contact lens market. It has set itself a goal of creating 500,000 new contact lens wearers next year.
