Nodoka looks to Japanese arts

Simon Jones

The Charmant Group’s Nodoka 2010 Collection for women builds on its Japanese heritage through motifs, colour and decoration of Japanese arts.

Available in brown, gold, pink and red colourways, the lightweight model ND10177 (top) has patterned acetate temples that are inspired by Kiriko, a Japanese carving technique.

Model ND10179 features a tortoiseshell grid pattern etched onto the temples, described as a sign of good luck in Japanese culture. Available in a rimless lens, the ND10180 comes in four colour options of brown, pink, purple and red.

Also new is model ND10182 (below) which is inspired by Japanese theatre. The dark green and black striping that is synonymous with the theatre curtain can be seen on the broad temples of this design. The lightweight stainless steel frame is available in brown, black, purple and red.
