As followers of Optician’s new pages will be well aware (26.09.14), Irish software company Ocuco has been a hive of activity of late with three acquisitions in the past nine months. With a global presence significant enough to mean the sun never sets on the company offices, it is a good time to look back at the origins of the company and the man behind it.
Leo MacCanna, chief executive officer and founder of Ocuco, was never in any doubt that his professional life would involve computers. Having started programming at 12 years old, he was teaching computing in the local high school by 14.
