Optician Awards 2015: Multiple Practice of the Year

Serial award winners Specsavers Sutton-in-Ashfield took home the prize for Multiple Practice of the Year at the Optician Awards

Judges at the Optician Awards are not easily pleased; their job is to sift through entries from the best practices in the country and find every possible deficiency. However, the winner of Multiple Practice of the Year at the 2015 Optician Awards drew a rare level of praise.

‘This is a difficult category for entrants to differentiate themselves but this year’s winner shows a clear difference,’ state the judges. ‘It’s good to see that some multiple practices really can stand out.

‘This is a practice that really wants to stand out above others. And it does. Over 20 years, it’s grown from just six team members to 63. It has a strong focus on working with the community, whether that means helping to relaunch the local food bank or supporting a Young Achievers in the Community award for local schools. When a business has such clearly defined marketing, it’s difficult for an individual practice to have a strong identity. But Specsavers Sutton-in-Ashfield has the freedom to do just that.’
