The patient had recently been hospitalised for eight days with severe flu-like symptoms and an infection in one leg. She was not complaining of any problems with her vision when admitted, but around the time of being discharged from hospital, she started to notice blurred vision which increased with time. The patient was seen and examined at the local hospital but neither information nor treatment was given and she left feeling distressed and confused.
