Part 1 of this series introduced the concept of performance vision in sport and explained how and why it can be incorporated into everyday practice. This second article will outline the tests that might be included in assessing an athlete's vision and how to undertake a vision task analysis for the athlete's given sport. While some of these tests will already be familiar to practitioners, other more specialised tests are also outlined here and will be described in more detail in later parts of the series that discuss vision training.
What is the performance vision evaluation?
The 'Performance vision evaluation' is intended to supplement the traditional examination and evaluate not only eye health and visual acuity but also visual quality and efficiency.
