The name Ken Pullum has become almost synonymous with scleral lenses over the years. His clinic sessions at Moorfields from the 1980s provided clear and stable vision to many a cornea which would otherwise have proved impossible. At the same time he was able to develop his own private practice in Hertfordshire which was eventually to be the headquarters of Innovative Sclerals, founded in 1992.

Pullum, as managing director, has teamed up with renowned consultant ophthalmologist and anterior eye expert Professor Roger Buckley to head a small but very specialised team. The elegant townhouse (Figure 1) is the location for a company 'dedicated to scleral lens design, manufacture and clinical consultancy in scleral lens practice'.
