Retina Symposium 2016: A revolution in retinal and choroidal assessment?

Retinal experts from around the world converged upon the HS-UK Retina Symposium 2016 recently. Optician reports

The HS- UK Retina Symposium 2016 was held at the Royal College of Surgeons in London on January 22 and boasted an impressive faculty, featuring both national and international experts. A key theme throughout the symposium was the latest technology in non-invasive angiography, OCT angiography (OCT-A) and how this may revolutionise retinal and choroidal assessment.

The symposium was chaired by Grant Duncan (Haag Streit UK clinical training manager) and briefly introduced by Professor Adnan Tufail (consultant ophthalmologist and Moorfields Eye Hospital translational lead for AMD), who reminded all of the significance of this common disease and how any advance in assessment and management must be greatly welcomed.
