Rewarding the team

Practices are being encouraged to include their whole team in entries for the 2007 Optician Awards.

While many of the awards are designed for entry by optometrists and dispensing opticians, there are also awards which require input from business staff, optical assistants, technical staff, charities and manufacturers.

Among the 10 categories are four completely new awards: Applied Spectacle Technology Practice of the Year sponsored by Optovision, the Software Practice of the Year Award sponsored by OcucoRelcon, the Independent Practice Website of the Year Award sponsored by Essilor and the Freshlook Optical Assistant of the Year Award, sponsored by CIBA Vision.

An entry form was included in the issue of January 12 and another will be included in the issue of February 2. A form can also be downloaded from www.opticianonline.net.
