With delegates from each of the eye care professions representing all corners of the UK as well as overseas, the second Scloss conference held at the end of last year in Glasgow has firmly established itself on the CET event calendar.
Delegates had a choice of lectures, workshops and peer discussion sessions (Figure 1) and there were dedicated strands for pre-registration optometrists too. Scotland is, in many ways, ahead of the curve in primary eye care with universal dilation for all people aged over 60, increasing numbers of IP-accredited optometrists with access to a prescription pad and involvement in triaging services.
