Optician takes a sneak peek at some new frames set to be launched at Silmo

With sustainability at the forefront of patients’ buying choices, collections with authentic products will be a valuable tool in practice. The Silhouette-spin off, Neubau, is now doing its own thing, which means a free run at developing and extending its portfolio of eco-friendly materials, having already worked with bio-acetate and castor beans in the past. The new collection is based on natural acetate and is purely plant-based, including plasticisers. The eight-strong Shapes of Motion collection mixes biodegradable acetate, titanium temples and a selection of bright hues, which are all made in its carbon neutral factory in Austria.
