Technology Practice of the Year 2019

I first became aware of Brian Tompkins way back in 1993, well before I started work at Optician. A friend of mine told me to check out the final of MasterChef that year, as one of the finalists was an optometrist from the Northampton area. This turned out to be Tompkins, and it was the first time I saw his flamboyant approach to presentation, something which many readers will be more than familiar with. He has since applied the same showmanship to his always entertaining and informative lectures and presentations, both during his stint as BCLA president, and when presenting on a whole range of other optometric subjects. Additionally Tompkins has always spread the word about the use of IT and technology.
