Trends for both sexes include thinner sides and 'pop colours' of red, white, blue and yellow, as well as transparent acetates. 'White is very important and transparency is also used for men,' explains a Luxottica spokesperson, who adds that the tubular temple is strong for both sexes and is one way of making the sides thinner.
