Oakley announced earlier this year (Optician 29.07.11) that it had created a new benchmark in sports lenses with the launch of Oakley True Digital. This was a bold claim given the excellent sports lenses available on the market.
On test was a sunlens glazed into a custom black and white Jawbone frame by Oakley's proprietary lab in Ireland.
Under testing, the lens optics were impressive. Despite the high wrap there was no perceptible distortion at the periphery or prismatic effect from the curve of the lens. The vision is crisp and clear across a very wide field of view and the coating is effective at reducing reflections and resisting dirt and moisture.
