Triggerfish completes first trial

A new device designed to monitor fluctuations in intraocular pressure has completed its first trial in the US.

The Triggerfish device could be used to manage glaucoma, according to its Swiss-based manufacturer Sensimed.

An open label clinical study has been completed to investigate the safety and tolerability of using the device in 40 glaucoma suspects or patients, with a second study due to assess the efficacy of the product during wake and sleep.
