Frames
Last month, Optician spent a morning finding out exactly what women look for when choosing a pair of spectacles. Armed with 75 frames, two mirrors and nice smiles we accosted women aged between 25 and 40 on their way to work and asked them to pick out their favourites from our selection. The results proved quite an insight, with some definite trends emerging

There were a whole range of frames on display from big brands such as Fendi and CK to high street names such as FCUK Vision and Karen Millen. Boutique designers were also well represented with frames from Mykita, Booth & Bruce and Tom Davies. The vast majority of women said they would look for shape and colour first, before they even checked the make. Almost all of the women we spoke to said their choice would not be influenced by brand.
