Value of consumer 3D printed eyewear sector set to soar
An analyst firm in the additive manufacturing sector (AM) has predicted the consumer 3D printed eyewear sector will be worth $3.4bn by 2028, driven primarily by demand for end user products.
Smartech Analysis looked at data from key companies in the sector who produce or offer end user eyewear, including Materialise, Safilo and Monoqool Eyewear. It was estimated the market was currently worth $244m, with the global ophthalmic eyewear market valued at more than $100bn per year.
