The graph plots the quartiles and median of the range of results. For practice turnover, the mean percentage change was 32 per cent, and, in general, results were very positive, with only 34 per cent of the sample experiencing a drop in turnover from December 2002. The range of change varied from -43 per cent to +208 per cent.
For total eye examinations, the mean percentage change was -2 per cent. Over half the sample had seen a fall in the number of eye tests carried out compared to December 2002. The distribution of results was much closer together, with figures ranging from -52 per cent to +106 per cent. All respondents are optimistic about the future, and 28 per cent are very optimistic.
