ABDO calls for apprenticeship support

Members of the optical profession have been urged by the Association of British Dispensing Opticians to have their say in a consultation on a proposed level 6 ophthalmic dispensing apprenticeship standard before it closes on June 30. 

ABDO, which supported the development of the standard, said: ‘There has never before been such a good prospect for funding DO training for all employers. This will cover the majority of ophthalmic dispensing course and examination fees and will help to support the profession across the optical sector.’
