ABDO publishes 2024 plan

An annual plan detailing how the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) intends to support its members in 2024 has been published.

ABDO incorporated its new vision, vision and values into its plan to support and represent members, promote awareness of their roles, enable professional development and advance the profession.

Daryl Newsome, ABDO president, said: ‘Having a five year strategic plan and an annual defined plan, we are making steady, transparent and quantifiable progress to making your association stronger, more useful and more influential than ever before.’

ABDO’s three priorities for 2024 were: introducing the FBDO apprenticeship, launching a professional certificate in paediatric eye care, and providing an excellent service for members, now and into the future.
