Four dispensing opticians have put their names to a letter calling for greater transparency regarding the funding of ABDO's Godmersham College.
David High, Graham Legg, Tim Bowden and Robert Jardine have replied to ABDO president James Russell's response to concerns published last month (News, January 27).
His response followed the first news of the discontent by members before Christmas, when Optician reported the anxiety raised by some at a meeting of the Association when one member said he was deeply concerned about the company's finances (News, December 16).
However, Russell hit back, stating that the board of ABDO would not respond to comments made by people who are not prepared to identify themselves.
Now, the four members have written to Optician, further outlining their concerns, particularly as they claim, that the Grade I listed building will shortly have to be redecorated and refurbished.
