AcculensAcculens has reached an agreement for the licensing of its Maxim and Comfort SL branded scleral lens designs to Bausch & Lomb UK.

It would open the European Union and the South African markets to the Acculens products during the second quarter of this year, a statement said.

‘With this licensing we will be able to more efficiently service European and South African patients who are in need of these life changing products,’ said CEO and Acculens president Bill Masler.

The Maxim Scleral lens is indicated for the management of corneal distortion and dry eyes, while Comfort SL is an alternative to soft lenses for the correction of non-distorted ametropic eyes.
