Rodenstock launches next generation of its DNEye scanner systems

Rodenstock has launched the next generation of its DNEye scanner systems.

DNEye 2+ offers detailed visualisation of the wavefronts and simulation of ametropia, calculating both the low and high order aberrations for distance and near vision, as well as individual pupil reaction to brightness.

The company said the device provided accurate transmission to 1/100 dioptres with integrated corneal topography and autorefractor functions. The latest model also measures opacities of the refractive media using retro illumination and features an integrated Scheimpflug pachymeter to provide analysis of the anterior eye chamber and an air blast applanation tonometer for contactless measurement of intraocular pressure.

DNEye 2+ calculates the ideal correction for the patient based on the subjective refraction, combined with the individual aberrometric measurement data of the eye. The influence of the individual pupil sizes on the correction values is also considered.
