Ace & Tate Liverpool announces closure

Amsterdam-based opticians, Ace & Tate, announced it was set to close its store on Liverpool’s Bold Street.

With a graphic design said to be inspired by the city’s maritime heritage, and nods to The Beatles’ ‘Yellow Submarine’, the practice blended in well with the city’s independent stores and art and music scene.

In an email sent to its customers, the company said: ‘As of February 2, our Liverpool store will be permanently closing its doors.’

The opticians has sites across the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and beyond, and reassured customers that its commitment to providing eyewear remains unchanged.
