Acuitis Opticians opens third practice

Group opens a third UK branch in York city centre

Acuitis opticians has announced that its next practice will open in the centre of York on July 11, offering eye examinations and hearing services.

Located on 35 Coney Street, the opticians confirmed its launch after receiving planning consent for new signage and frontage from the City of York Council.

Director Ed Sweeting, who will manage the York store, told the York Press that he spent a year preparing the Acuitis York branch and it will feature the latest equipment for hearing and eye testing, as well as giving the premises a fresh, new look.

Maison Acuitis began as a family venture between Daniel and Jonathan Abittan in Geneva in February 2010, and has grown with Acuitis' UK branches. The opticians work with French eyewear designer Frédéric Beausoleil to create all the brand's eyewear, sunglasses and hearing glasses collections.
