Variable focus eyewear manufacturer Adlens has bolstered its product porfolio with the release of Adlens Interface – designed to block harmful parts of the blue light spectrum.

The company said the continued trend for publication of health warnings and studies had prompted it to release the device, which features a coating which blocks 80 per cent of harmful blue light. ‘Such effective blue light reduction could make a significant contribution to eye health for those who regularly use screens, as well as limit the symptoms of digital eye strain. These include dry, itchy eyes; neck, shoulder or back aches; headaches, and blurred vision,’ said an Adlens spokesperson.
