Specsavers Maldon hosted a cricket-inspired charity event to coincide with its sponsorship of England cricket captain Alastair Cook’s Big Six tournament.
Features included competitions for children to design a cricket bat and guess the number of cricket balls in a jar, in exchange for donations to charities MIND and Chance to Shine.
Store director Paul Wickson (also pictured) said: ‘We were really proud to be sponsoring Alastair Cook’s Big Six tournament and supporting a cricket legend that used to play for Essex County Cricket Club. As one of the official sponsors of the event we wanted to do all we could to ensure customers are aware of the importance of eye health in sport.’
