Dailies Total1 is Alcon’s new water gradient contact lens for patients living with astigmatism and is available to patients in the UK & Ireland from September 1. Karen Stoddart, vision care franchise head at Alcon UK & Ireland, said: ‘With stable vision and outstanding overall comfort, Dailies Total1 for astigmatism addresses customer demands and patient needs while delivering on our purpose to help people see brilliantly.’
Alcon said the lens features a gradual increase in water content approaching 100% at the surface, which means all that touches the eye is a cushion of moisture. The company added this would help eye care professionals to fit and maintain more astigmatic patients in contact lenses.
