Amblyopia trial

We are carrying out a randomised placebo-controlled trial of the treatment of amblyopia by active visual stimulation in people aged 10-65 years. We are looking for patients with a visual acuity between 6/9 and 6/36 in the amblyopic eye and 6/6 or better in the good eye and where the amblyopia is the result of strabismus or anisometropia of at least 1DS or 2DC. Patients will be asked to make about 10 visits to the Institute of Optometry. Please could any practitioners who would like to refer suitable patients write to me at the Institute.
