The Association of Optometrists has called for members to put themselves forward for the AOP council elections. Its nominations period for 25 regional representatives and eight designated positions started on August 17 and will close on September 7 at 12pm.
Henrietta Alderman, AOP chief executive, said: ‘Our council is changing and it’s an exciting time to get involved. It doesn’t matter if you have never been involved before.’
Following the council nominations process, the voting period will start on September 21 and run for two weeks, closing on October 5.
