'Similarly, the commercial consequences for our members who practise in all sectors, not just independents, differ,' he said. 'But overall, the commercial effects are a concern.' However, Mr Carswell said it was difficult to suggest a uniform pattern. 'As far as the Ophthalmic Fees Review Committee's claim for a &\#163;15.99 fee is concerned, the claim remains on the table and is being pursued vigorously.'
