
An infection control and prevention certificate has been launched by the Association of Optometrists (AOP) for all practising and pre-reg AOP members in the UK.
It was designed by the AOP’s clinical team to give practitioners and patients confidence and reassurance in practice for routine sight testing during the pandemic.
The certificate has been updated from last year, when over 4,000 AOP members passed it, with new content included on the importance of ventilation, vaccines and cleaning measures.
It included a lecture from Dr Peter Hampson, clinical director at the AOP, on how to protect staff and patients during the pandemic, which was followed by a series of questions.
