The Association of Optometrists has launched a new website service for local and area optical committees in response to the call from the Department of Health for LOCs to 'raise their game'.
The site will give LOCs and AOCs the facility to run a website which they can look after themselves, without cost and without the need for any technical skills.
AOP head of communication David Craig said the site would make it easy for LOCs to share information. 'Participating LOCs can put whatever information they want online in a variety of formats. A site can be up and running in as little as half an hour.' Email davidcraig@aop.org.uk
