AOP opens Council nominations

Applications have opened for 14 positions on the AOP Council

Applications have opened for 14 positions on the Association of Optometrists’ (AOP) Council that represented different segments of the profession.

The AOP said councillors informed its policy work and services for members, alongside representing the AOP by promoting membership and assisting peers.

Open positions included undergraduate students, independent prescribing optometrist and employee of an independent practice.

All positions have a three-year term from 2023, except undergraduate student and pre-reg optometrist positions which have one-year terms, while newly-qualified and early career optometrists have two-year terms but can serve for three terms in total.
