The Association of Optometrists (AOP) has welcomed one newly elected and two re-elected members to its Hospital Optometrists Committee (HOC), which represents and supports the interests of optometrists working within hospital settings.
The new members were Deirdre Burns, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Elizabeth Hunt, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, and Alison Weston, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
They will serve a three-year term and formally assume their positions at the Annual General Meeting in June.
Emma Spofforth, AOP chair of the board and council, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome the new committee members, whose considerable knowledge and experience in hospital optometry will enrich the committee’s work.’
