London-based Advanced Ophthalmic Systems (AOS) reported an office break in last week involving the theft of laptops, TV screens and surprisingly, its coveted 2022 Optician Technology Award trophy.
The AOS team pondered why thieves would take a trophy with the company name written all over it and feared that the prized possession might be lost forever.
‘All that changed today though when to our gleeful surprise we found a sparkling 2022 Optician Awards Technology Category Winners trophy sat on our doorstep,’ said the company in a LinkedIn post.
With the Optician Awards two days away, the team had time to warn peers not to let their trophies out of sight before enjoying a night of celebrations with their trophy safely returned.
