Technology using pre-recorded descriptions was trialled at the Dundee V&A

An app has been trialled at the Dundee V&A design museum where the technology was used to help blind and partially sighted people better access exhibits.
Pre-recorded descriptions of an exhibit can be listened to by users of the MyEyes app, which was developed by Portuguese company IKi Technology.
James Adams, director of RNIB Scotland, which helped organise the visits, said: ‘New technology has immense potential to make life easier and better for people who are blind or partially sighted.’
Feedback from users noted how MyEyes helped them navigate to and explore the museum without asking anybody questions by following the audio description.
