Optometrist Paul Appleson has written and performed a comedy song to raise awareness of his decision to take on the Great Ethiopian Run for Vision Aid Overseas in November

ApplesonOptometrist Paul Appleson has written and performed a comedy song to raise awareness of his decision to take on the Great Ethiopian Run for Vision Aid Overseas in November.

He has committed to the charity’s trip to Addis Ababa in November to mark his 50th birthday.

‘We all choose different ways for the things we do for fun,’ his song explains. ‘It may not be for you but I’ve chosen to do the Great Ethiopian Run.’

His Appleson Optometrists practice has this week launched Wetherby NHS Eye Clinic in partnership with Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust to provide a NHS community eye care services. Appleson’s ‘Singing my way to Ethiopia’ song has been posted on YouTube
