Aston to hold 50th anniversary event

Aston University has called on past students and staff to join in its 50th anniversary celebrations in April.

Aston, which received its University Charter on 22nd April 1966, will be marking the anniversary with a series of events including a celebratory weekend in April called the Big Alumni Reunion.

The reunion will be held at its campus in the centre of Birmingham on April 23-24, with free talks from leading academics and tours of the laboratories, facilities and campus, as well as a gala dinner and fireworks display on the Saturday night.
