Specsavers takes audiology partnership model to Australia

Specsavers has taken its audiology partnership model to Australia, with the opening of its first two audiology businesses this week on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

Partner Andrew Fraser, pictured right, has opened an audiology business in the Specsavers Runaway Bay practice, while his sister Rochelle Fraser has opened in the Specsavers Tweed City branch. Both are audiologists of more than 15 years standing.

The company said the plan now is to revolutionise the audiology industry for Australian patients, offering hearing aids and care at prices never seen before in up to 200 locations across the country.

Specsavers Audiology partner Andrew Fraser said: At the moment, it takes most Australians up to 10 years to acknowledge they have hearing loss before they do anything to help it – if they do anything at all.

‘The customers we will look after are already used to coming in to Specsavers and our service will be mentioned to every single one of them as they come in to the optical store.’
