Interesting use of colour and premium materials is Xavier Garcia’s speciality

Interesting use of colour and premium materials is Barcelona-based eyewear designer Xavier Garcia’s speciality.

Making heavy use of beta-titanium and bright, light acetate, the new A/W 19 collection sticks to this heritage while providing hyper-modern, creatively styled frames.

Carmela C4 is an elegant cat-eye frame constructed from champagne-coloured beta-titanium. Gold-coloured metal has been used for the top of the rims and adjustable nose-pads, while acetate temple tips complete the details.

Artistic flair is on show with Gea C2 (above), a round rimmed acetate frame that makes use of a colour gradient; the top of the rims come in royal purple and fade dramatically into cherry-red along the bottom and bridge. Tortoiseshell acetate temple-tips add tasteful contrast to the colour explosion.
