Babo appoints new chair

Irfaan Adamally succeeds John Stevenson as chair

Irfaan Adamally has been appointed chair of the British Association of Behavioural Optometrists (Babo) in succession to John Stevenson.

Adamally said that he was honoured to take on the role and added that Stevenson had done much to establish behavioural optometry as a recognised and respected discipline of the profession.

‘Babo is part of a wider International community of vision therapy organisations and John has travelled extensively as chair to represent the UK in behavioural optometry. We are all extremely grateful to John,’ he said.

Stevenson added: ‘I know that Irfaan will take Babo and the clinical discipline of behavioural optometry to the next stage in the UK. I wish him well and of course offer him my full support.’
