Bausch + Lomb launched its disposable silicone hydrogel CLs
Bausch + Lomb (B+L) has launched the Ultra One Day disposable silicone hydrogel (SiH) contact lens, which it said created a new benchmark for SiH daily lenses.
The contact lens has been designed with two proprietary technologies for comfort and ease of handling while continuing to offer the oxygen delivery of SiH, as well as incorporating spherical aberration control. These technologies also actively support the tear film, B+L said.
Ultra One Day is available to independent practices from March 14. It has a base curve of 8.6mm, a diameter of 14.2mm and has a UV filter. The Kalifilcon A material has a handling tint and a Dk/t of 134 at -3.00D, it comes in spherical single vision powers from +6.00 to -12.00D.
