Bausch+Lomb has announced a licensing agreement with Tangible Science

Bausch+Lomb has announced a licensing agreement with Tangible Science for the usage of its Hydra-Peg custom contact lens coating technology on various Boston gas permeable materials and scleral lenses.

The Tangible Hydra-Peg is a high-water polymer coating that bonds to the surface of a contact lens. B+L said the coating increased surface water retention and lubricity and minimised any deposits on lens materials.

John Ferris, US Vision Care’s general manager at B+L, said: ‘We are pleased to enter this agreement to enhance our growing portfolio of custom contact lenses. We understand that every patient is different and are committed to providing innovative solutions to eye care professionals that help meet more of their patients’ unique vision care needs.’
