Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists has acquired two multi-site optical practice groups in the North West and Oxford, which expanded its total number of sites to 41.
The group acquired Prism, which operated five practices in areas such as Macclesfield and Nantwich, with directors Nigel and Jean Oldbury facilitating the handover before retiring.
Oxford-based Robert Stanley, which also operated five practices, was co-owned by John Edwards, who will continue his role, and Jerry Salmon, who will retire.
Royston Bayfield, founder and CEO of Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists, said: ‘So far, 2022 has exceeded all expectations, in terms of our drive toward the half century milestone by the end of 2023 and our ambitions to be a recognised independent brand in key locations up and down the country.
‘We’re delighted to welcome the Robert Stanley and Prism teams onboard – two excellent businesses that are well established, trusted and have strong brand recognition in their local communities, all of which are key elements that are vital to our future success.’
