BBC's White to chair debate

Peter White, the BBC's disability affairs correspondent, has been confirmed as the chair for a 'Moral Maze' debate at next week's Vision UK 2013 conference.

The debate will tackle the question 'Digital accessibility - right or luxury?' and explore issues surrounding access to digital technology for blind and partially sighted people.

White has been the BBC's disability affairs correspondent since 1995, and was known as the first totally blind person to produce reports for television news. He said: 'Now that we are living in a society that is heavily reliant on digital technology it is important that we consider how this affects people with sight loss and how we can ensure that nobody is left behind.'
